Ronza Restaurant & Bar

RONZA restaurant and bar
located at: The Promenade Bldg, 198 Wilson St. San Juan City, Metro Manila

I recently went to a party of my friend's friend. Being a social butterfly as I am, I agreed to accompany him. He said that the venue is named Ronza. The place's unfamiliar (I even googled it!) and luckily he knows how to get there. The only landmark that we're both looking for is Alex III.
TIP: As soon as you reached Alex III, slow down and look at your left and you'll see a small sign of Ronza

We parked in front of the promenade building. And since it'll be our 1st time to be in that place, we started criticizing the place from the outer view as we waited for his brothers to arrived.  For a party goer like me, I can say that the location is tago... as in TAGONG-TAGO!  We can't imagine that there's a bar in that kind of building! And that's why only few people knows the place. So as we arrived on the front door, we saw that the bar is closed for private party (Yes! You can actually rent the whole venue for any celebrations), a Chinese receptionist asked us whose party we'll be attending. Upon entering, I noticed that almost everyone inside the bar were Chinese! (And I love it! I belong!), the ambiance is cool. It's neat and organized! The lightning is right. Not to dark and you can see the face of the people you're going to deal with. So the guy assisted us to a room just beside the main bar, and that's where our celebrant rented. Inside the rented room I notice that there's no exhaust fan which made my eye sooo teary since a lot were puffing cigarette. It's darker but as soon as the party started, great music made our hearts ga-ga topped with neon lights that made us want to dance! The waiters are great! They come every now and then to get the empty bottles and used plates. So what I liked about Ronza is their nachos! Yummiest Nachos I ever tasted!
Toasted Nachos to crisp loaded with Cheese! (A Must try)

Here are some of the pica-picas that they've served....
Calamares
(I'm not a fan... I actually Don't like it because of the fishy smell and slimy taste)

Chicken Pops

Crispy Fries

✾ ✾ ✾ I'll recommend the place to everyone who wants to have a disco-bar private party with limited budget.

Some more of the pictures of the venue and  Yhanna's Party:

Neon lights by 12mn Made us Uh-oh shaky!!!

Who would have thought there's a cool bar inside this building?!

Ersao( 二嫂) Taiwanese Resto

Loving Chinese foods? Then try ERSAO! and feel the authentic Taiwanese Experience with American twist!
I've been loving these kind of comfy foods since I was on my kindergarten days (1995). I remember my achie bringing me along with her friends at EasyWay near our school (PIQC) in banawe. The best seller back then was Taro Milk Tea with Taro Pudding! and the Lychee flavored water. As time passes by, only Quickly and Ersao made it's way to follow this kind of franchisee. Quickly offers Taiwanese Bubble drink while Ersao serves milk teas, fruit shakes and other Taiwanese delicacies.
 Lots of yummy choices!!!

What i love about ersao is that all their foods are cheap, delicious and easy to grab. My favorites are Taro Milk Tea, Spicy Chicken, Spicy Squid and raddish cake.
Spicy Squid
 Pearl Milk Tea
Ripe Mango Shake
 Watermelon Shake
 Taro Milk Tea
Perfect Combination for me! (Taro Milk Tea and Spicy Squid)

Luckily, I got to visit its 2 branches at banawe and I must say that E.rod location is way much better than in new banawe. But in new banawe, they're selling frozen cook-by-yourself ersao foods, and ma-ho (garnish for your porridge aka lugaw), and other chinese spices which made it unique.

Thanks to my friends, they spoiled me with my watery mouth cravings for ersao!

Chicas Chikka-Chikka, Pica-Pica @ Pico

Before Mr. Sun says bye-bye, our barkada decided to have a vacation. So after 2 months of planning and preparation, we decided to escape to breathtaking Pico de Loro at Hamilo Coast, SM Land's premier, sustainable leisure destination in Nasugbu, Batangas. Look forward to a variety of leisure lifestyle options among a network of leisure communities to be built, offering residential condominiums, villas, residential lots, and hotels. Recreational facilities such as exclusive and members-only club will also offer an immediate escape from the city all year-round. Land- and water-based activities providing an interactive nature experience completes the distinctive Hamilo Coast leisure lifestyle.  Hamilo Coast will be an enduring leisure destination for those who seek a genuine sense of escape and retreat into nature, building a tradition and reputation for world-class leisure living. Well, how to get there? Hamilo Coast is currently accessible by land via the traditional tagaytay-nasugbu rout, which is roughly 114 kilometers of 2.5 hours travel. But since the road was under construction, and the driver sucks, it took us almost 3 and a half hours before we arrived on the venue.

Moreover, upon arriving at the 1st club house, we saw a breath taking Mediterranean-inspired interior design and construction, clear pool near the beach. Moving on, as stated above, it is a country club, meaning, you cannot enter unless, you’re a member, so luckily, my friend’s father is a member so we’re able to enjoy the leisure life inside Pico. Non-member will pay 500pesos, wherein 400pesos from that 500 is consumable for your food inside. Well, no foods brought outside are allowed. They cater Italian cuisines that day, the buffet costs 680pesos, so we need to pay additional 280pesos. The foods were mouth-watering and everything were delicious, unluckily, since I’m a food critique, I tasted that the milk used in their potato soup was overly cooked. And they only used sardine for the lumpia, anyway, the lumpia tasted good when you dipped it in tartar sauce.  The desserts were heavenly! There were rum cake, raisin cake, fresh fruits, and what I like most is their make your own halo-halo corner! So, after our stomach was filled by yummy foods, we decided to take a rest for couple of minutes and jumped in the pool. By the way, before I forgot. The country club is consisting of 2 club houses. On the 1st club house, it consists of 2 pools, the beach, kultura store, a restaurant where you can order Ala carte and a bar. The 2nd one consists of 4 pools, then the amenities such as videoke bar, bowling center, billiard center, gym, children play station, video game station (where you can play PS3 and Wii),badminton, tennis and basketball courts. We 1st stayed on the 2nd club house since there were still lots of people at the 1st club house when we arrived. The pool on the 2nd club house was warm and it’s only 5’3 feet. So no worries for those who are not gifted in height, you’ll not be drowned. And there are life guards in case you’ll not be able to handle the water. Since the sun that time was scorching, we decided to rest and go to the 1st club house to dip into the beach. That time, it was low tide so we're like already in the middle but still the water was just on our chest level. The water is too salty! No fishes, no shells or what-so ever marine thingy. There are lots of Chinese and Caucasians. Lots of good looking Guys (whew! What a sight! ^^) . By 6pm we decided to take our bath since the pool closes by 7pm. The people went gaga and so super agawan inside the bathroom. 2 of the cubicles were barado. Thank God, I got a cubicle for my friend Krizza to share with. Inside the cubicle, there’s free liquid bath soap and shampoo, so you actually don’t need to bring or panic if haven’t brought one. Towels are free to use. And there are blowers and make-up section where ladies can fix themselves. By night, you’ll be delighted by the blue-light effects of the pool, the jazzy and bossa nova songs and cold wind.

I will definitely go back to that place and try some water sports like kayaking and snorkeling next summer. If you’re interested, Do visit http://www.hamilocoast.com/hamilo/index.php?p=1016 for more information and inquiries.
